The focus is to conduct data collection and to assist in the analysis and interpretation of all types of data. In addition, Research Consultants may be required to undertake certain elements of day-to-day project management (usually on tracking studies) under the management of more senior staff.
SRCs combine many of the data collection and analysis tasks undertaken by Research Consultants with responsibility for the project management of small and medium scale projects or elements of larger more complex projects.
The key role is the day-to-day management of multiple research projects with minimal supervisory input from the relevant account manager. In addition, Research Managers are likely to assist Board members and Associate Directors with sales work such as drafting proposals.
The duties unite the dual roles of direct management of large projects with the development of a sales and account function - typically for minor accounts or by taking joint responsibility with a Board member for a more important account.
The responsibilities combine the direct management of large clients with a sales and account function - typically for important major accounts, or by managing research staff to take joint responsibility for more minor accounts. Research Directors will be given a sales target and be responsible for meeting this.
Successful candidates will need to provide documentation confirming their right to work in the UK as specified by the Home Office under laws to prevent illegal working (please refer to Sections 15-25 of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006).
